Marian Montessori is a private licensed Montessori school which provides education and care for children from eighteen months to six years of age, with a maximum enrolment of 62 children.
The children are grouped in varied group settings based on their capabilities and emotional needs and not according to their ages, as it should be in a true Montessori class-room.
The school is set in a beautiful Christian home environment, radiating with spirituality, love, warmth, peace and tranquility. It is a true Montessori atmosphere.
Marian Montessori employs qualified instructors and is proud to have a low student/teacher ratio. The children enjoy five separate classrooms, a common area for concerts and socials, specially-designed washrooms and locker area, a beautiful, secure, park-like playground and a theatre. We offer a drama, music, and dance program, as well as French and Spanish classes, and a new arts and crafts program.
There are parent-teacher interview days, mother-and-child, father-and-child and grandparent-and-child activity days. There is also an opportunity to watch your child unobserved, while they interact with teachers and peers.
Marian Montessori also has a P.T.A which is very active. In addition to these activities there are concerts, picnics and Moms' and Dads' Nights.
*Report cards are provided twice a year.
*Children and teachers wear uniforms during school hours.
*Before and after school programs are also available.
*Hot Organic lunches are prepared and served on site.
*At this time, the school is not integrated for children with special needs.

Our Profile
In 1989, Marie Silva established Marian Montessori Pre-School in Glen Abbey.
It is dedicated to Mary the Blessed Mother, who was chosen as the primary role model for the teachers because of the great love, patience and careful guidance with which she raised the child, Jesus.
